Exactly what I needed to still be able to sleep with my door closed but let the cat wonder the house. We both love it!
We bought this for our teenage daughter, who loved to take the cats in her room at night with the door shut but they couldn't get out. Now she has the best of both worlds, her door shut and the cats can visit. Ever since we put it in, they cats enjoy going in and hanging out with her!! They even sleep in there now. It was the best product, even our older cat, who is 13, can get in and out with no problems. We are loving it! Thank you!
I was skeptical at first with the install, but it was super easy and our 4 cats used it as soon as we put the door back on the hinges!! So glad we bought this!!
I am very pleased with my Kitty Korner! I ordered it and had it installed and myself and my cats are delighted with it! Works great!
The written instructions along with the video made the install very easy. I think it took me all of 30min from hinge off to hinge on. My cat is 9lb and came through the opening without needing treats. Today she ran through it. Super happy with the hinge. I can close the door and sleep in the dark at night and she still gets to roam around the house. I might buy another for a litter box closet.
I have been trying to figure out how to allow the cat access to her food and litter while keeping a similar sized dog out of these areas. If you are reading this you, too probably have a collection of baby gates and complicated door propping set ups. Once I realized this was a small business and someone’s fabulous invention I didn’t mind the price. I was worried about it being big enough but she took to it immediately with a little treat tossing game and on day three I’ve already seen her dart through the door to escape unwanted puppy playtime. Great product. I think I need one more now that I’ve seen it in action.
Photo notes - The first photo is a door to the basement and would have ideally swung in but we had a piece of trim in the way. I don’t think it looks terrible on the outside. The third photo is outside of a bedroom. And yes, it worked on a hollow door (bedroom) and didn't reach the panels on either door.
Our kitty was a little unsure at first but he's come to love unfettered access to his favorite litter pan (and mouse hunting territory) in the basement even though we want to keep the basement door closed.
I look forward to adding a second to the laundry room door soon.
I was looking for a simple cat door, and this works great. This requires a circular saw and some DIY aptitude, but any pet door does. Also, instead of the pattern provided, I marked a line and clamped a piece of scrap wood to guide my saw.
We got this so we can close our bedroom door at night & still allow cats access. It does exactly that! Installation was easy following the directions included. The velcro was a bit weak so I added a couple more squares I had & works perfect. Perfect solution.
Was bit concerned that it won't work on our flimsy door. But it works great. The instructions a bit confusing. After we cut the corner, we had to figure out correct way to mount the hinge. But it works now and the kitty has no problem using it
Very easy to install. Only thing I did differently was put some spray foam in my door to keep bugs out of my door. Works great and the cats are happy to go in and out as they please.
This is a great idea for a product. Mostly, it works very well. My cats (and I have a couple who are close to 20 pounds!) did not hesitate to use it. However, the design to keep it open needs some work. Those 3M Velcro squares do not work. I had to add Alien Tape to keep it open (up) which is going to make it difficult to close the kitty door when I need to. Any ideas? Once I get that part figured out, I will order another one.
I bought 2 - one for my main bedroom and one for the laundry room where the cat litter resides. They were easy to install and incredibly effective! Definitely recommend!
The cats love that they can go in and out of our room at night—even if there are guests in the house. We used to have to keep the door fully open when guests came because the cats like to roam at night and intermittently sleep with us. This fixed our privacy issue with guests while also giving the cats the freedom they wanted.
