Interior Cat Door?
When someone says they have a cat door (pet door). You normally envision a swinging flap and a way for your pet to get into or out of the house. I recently saw a video showing how incredibly useful an interior cat door could be for me and my beloved Kitty. When I mention "interior" cat door I mean a cat door that allows your cat to go into and out of different rooms inside your house, while keeping the door shut.
Stop the stink and hide the litter box
This different kind of cat door lets you close door on the room where you keep the litter box. This effectively minimizes the smell and keeps people from seeing the unsightly litter box. I also figured out that when I have company who have pet allergies, I can put my cat into the room and close the new flap and my cat is safe and my company does not have to worry about itchy eyes and getting the sneezes - Win/Win as they say.
Dogs and Litter Boxes - Not a Good Mix
I don't have a dog, but I realized an interior cat door would be great for people who have both dogs and cats, it would be a great way to keep the dog from rooting around in the litter box, or the cat food for that matter.
Sleeping With My Bedroom Door Closed Again
I actually bought a second kit to put on my Bedroom Door and for the first time in years I can sleep with the door closed again. I gave up closing my bedroom door a long time ago after I had to keep getting up in the middle of the night to let, her majesty, into or out of the room. Now, if it's possible, I love my cat even a little more.
